It’s OFFICIALLY fall! Trick-or-treaters will be parading around Georgetown in super cute – hopefully not resembling Miley – costumes and knocking on our door asking for Halloween goodies.

Fall is always a busy time of year, but as I walked down the street this morning I couldn’t help but notice the calming effect the red, gold and orange hues of leaves pressed against a grey sky have on me.
I wish it could be fall all year round. Take a minute and take in those beautiful colors! I feel so lucky to have this scene right outside my front door.
This morning was chilly – and I mean CHILLY. But, it’s not completely unbearable if you’ve transitioned to that fall wardrobe of yours. I think I’m finally ready to accept the fact my boots and scarves are creepily starting to dominate my light, not-so-summer-y (anymore) closet. This was my go-to attire for today’s crisp Tuesday autumn morning (and now afternoon!)
My Zara peacoat, Michael Kors knee-high leather boots and MMS studded satchel from Marshall’s were my essentials for today. I also threw in a splash of gold jewelry with my faux turquoise stackable gold rings from Forever 21, as well as my gold and black statement necklace from Nordstrom.
Just a few of my favorite accessories. What are yours?
TGIF – and isn’t that the truth. There’s just a undeniable happiness that goes hand-in-hand when you’re able to use the words “fall” and “Friday” in the same sentence. Festive fall scenes have been calling my name all morning (and now lovely afternoon.)

I recently read that the “magic hours” to capture autumn’s best angles are in the early morning and late evening – and boy, were they right. I snapped this gem this morning. Look at those gold, red and orange leaves glow.
I know, I know – I am guilty of incorporating a little Instagram filter here and there, but I have no shame. Nature’s color combinations are impossible to beat – so why not highlight them? I also really enjoy the filters and photo enhancements Aviary provides. Definitely an app to check out if you’re a wannabe-photography like me!
Fast forward to lunch time. After sitting at my (very cute) desk for five hours, I’m ready for some sunshine. I cannot resist an outdoor lunch with a good friend – and especially with this weather. Clubmasters on, taking in the beautiful day. It’s always a relief to me that I’m not the only one with a mild obsession for photography – my lunch buddy is the same. Needless to say, lunch turned into a mini photo shoot.

What do you like to capture quick snapshots of? Nothing more therapeutic than dishing into your creative side – we all have one somewhere!
After a full year (or possibly two?), I am back in the creative blog-writing game and it feels so good. As you may have read in my “About” section, I am a 22-year-old with a variety of girly – and I mean girly – interests.
Wine nights with the girls, finding that perfect new shade of lipstick, discovering a new heavenly cocktail (I love anything with ginger and mint involved) or snatching that last perfectly fringed knitted scarf off the display table of a little corner boutique, all fall under my list of feel-good things. So of course when I moved to Georgetown in Washington, D.C., I was beyond excited to be living in the middle of one of the cutest neighborhoods for post-grad life – if I do say so myself.

And now September has passed, October is flying by – Fall is officially here. What better time to move to a new city, explore new things andstart a new blog. I think F. Scott Fitzgerald hit the nail on the head.

So loves, get ready for posts on food (and cocktails!), style, travel, home decor, beauty products and a little light reading on Coffee and Cobblestones. Beyond excited to be able to call myself a blogger once again! Oh, and Happy Hump Day!
