But first, tea and pancakes

Hello, weekend!

It’s safe to say it’s been a very long, hard week and we’re all in desperate need of some much-needed “me time” 🙂 For me, I wanted to start the morning off right with a stack of delish strawberry and blueberry pancakes with a nice cup of tea. Nothing better than a hearty breakfast in comfy sweats!

My adorable personalised Anthroplogie mug is a serious morning essential. It was a perfect gift from one of my closest friends from the states so of course it’s made itself a little home in my cupboard in London.

How are you spending your weekend? I hope it’s fab!

Happy FriYAY! Time to decorate with elephants

Congratulations! You’ve made it to the end of the week so Happy FriYAY to you.

This weekend I’m spending my time hanging out with friends, getting my groove on at Zumba and hopefully heading to Camden Market in London for a little shopping. What girl doesn’t love a little retail therapy, am I right?

This morning I realised I haven’t shared my most recent purchase from the good ol’ Camden Market. It is the absolute BEST thing I have ever bought in my entire life. No, but really, I’m serious!

Drum roll please…….

ELEPHANTS.

This black, beige and white tapestry has completely transformed my room. Not only has it catered to my love for these adorable creatures (my sisters and I have always had an obsession) whilst matching my bedroom colour scheme, but it has also made the space that much more cosy.

If you’re like me who has always rented and have yet to own a property, tapestries are the way to go. They never damage walls and only need a few push pins to put into place. Not to mention they’re are extremely inexpensive and look fab 🙂 Mine was only £6.99.

Each weekend I seem to get more and more interiors inspo… let’s see what this weekend has in store 🙂

London foodie finds: Sushi in the neighbourhood

Happy Sunday!

Hope you’ve had a nice weekend and that you’re gearing up for a fab week. Remember, a Sunday well spent brings a week of content!

In my case, I decided to try a sushi place in my neighbourhood — Feng Sushi, which I later found out is a chain in London. I usually go for little independently owned family sushi restaurants (especially being from the states where sushi bars tend to be on every corner in major cities), but I was pleasantly surprised with Feng. I mean look at that sushi spread 🙂

From prawn tempura to spicy salmon rolls, we were in for a delicious treat. If that doesn’t end the weekend on the high note I don’t know what does 🙂

In my eyes the crazier roll the better, whether that includes fruit, pine nuts or crazy fish combinations. Are you a sashimi, nigiri or maki roll fan?

Winter bliss

Once the sparkle of the New Year comes to a halt, many of us tend to dwell on the cold, dark, rainy weather January seems to welcome. But… it’s time to embrace all of the good things winter has to offer!

Knitted scarves, chai lattes, oversized trench coats, booties, faux fur, cosy corners and comfort food … the list goes on!

Browse through a few of my January joys from this afternoon whilst strolling through Westminster 🙂 Are you embracing winter bliss?
